Thomas Bonar Lyon was a Scottish landscape painter born in Tarbert, Loch Fyne, Argyllshire, in 1873. Lyon’s lifelong fascination with capturing the essence of Scottish scenery cemented his reputation as one of Scotland's foremost artists of the early 20th century.
