antonio laccabue, also known as antonio ligabue, was an italian painter, sculptor, and engraver born in zurich, switzerland in 1899. his early life was marked by struggles, with his mother and three brothers dying in 1913 due to food poisoning. this event led to his expulsion from switzerland, and he was later hospitalized in a psychiatric clinic.artistic journey
