Consort Jin

Historical Identity of Consort Jin Consort Jin was not a visual artist, but a historical figure of the Qing dynasty. Born into the Manchu Bordered Red Banner Tatara clan, she was a consort of the Guangxu Emperor. Her life was marked by various imperial titles, including Concubine Jin, Consort Jin, and later, Noble Consort Jin. Following the end of the dynasty, she held the high rank of Dowager Imperial Noble Consort Duankang and was eve

ntually known as Imperial Noble Consort Wenjing. Her family connections were significant within the imperial court; her father was Changxu, who served as the Right Vice Minister of Revenue, and her sister was Consort Zhen. During the transition from the Qing dynasty to the Republican era, she remained a prominent figure in the palace, eventually becoming the highest-ranked woman in the palace after the death of Empress Dowager Longyu.
