Cement Eclipses
Spanish Galician artist Isaac Cordal has been creating small humanoid sculptures and placing them around cities since 2006 in his Cement Eclipses project, alongside his larger body of work which also includes photography. Found in cracks in the wall, gutters in the streets, and other unlikely and often overlooked spaces, Cordal’s miniatures sit at just 25 centimetres tall. His tiny figures mimic us, playing out a diorama that critically exposes our profound alienation in urban environments.
