Albert Joseph Moore, pittore inglese rinomato, nacque il 4 settembre 1841 a York, nel Regno Unito. Era il tredicesimo figlio e il quattordicesimo bambino di William Moore, noto ritrattista, e della sua seconda moglie, Sarah Collingham.
