Luca Giordano: kunstneren

Tidligt liv, familie og uddannelse

Napoli, 1634.

århundredes napolitanske tradition begynder at vige, i takt med at Giordanos pensel føres over lærredet.

Lærredet i The Fall of the Rebel Angels, malet omkring 1666, indfanger et øjeblik af himmelsk opstandelse.

Samtidig demonstrerer The Triumph of Galatea i Hermitage Museum hans beherskelse af storslåede, narrative scener.
