Born in Saint-Étienne in 1869, his artistic journey was one of dedicated study and remarkable achievement, culminating in a body of work celebrated for its subtle emotional depth and technical finesse.
While not as widely recognized today as some of his contemporaries, Dupré’s mastery of both sculpture and medallic art secured him a place among the leading artists of his time, earning him accolades including an honorable mention at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1893 and the prestigious Premier Grand Prix de Rome for engraving in 1896.
