Michele De Lucchi was born in Ferrara, Italy, in 1951. He received his architectural degree from Florence University, setting the stage for a career that would challenge conventional design norms. De Lucchi emerged during a time of significant upheaval in the design world. He became a key figure within movements like Cavart, Studio Alchimia, and most notably, the Memphis Group.
