A Legacy of Light and Lineage
Born into the artistic heartbeat of Paris in 1875, Charles-François Guérin carried the weight of a profound creative inheritance. As the son of the nineteenth-century painter Jean Michel Prosper Guérin, his path toward the canvas was almost predorsed, a journey shaped by familial devotion to visual expression. His formal education at the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts provided the technical foundation upon which he would build his unique aesthetic, but it was his time under the tutelage of the legendary Gustave Moreau that truly ignited his spirit.
