Arthur Hughes, Pre-Raphaelite Kardeşliği ile özdeşleşmiş bir İngiliz ressam ve illüstratördür; 27 Ocak 1832'de Londra'da dünyaya gelmiştir. 1846 yılında Somerset House'daki sanat okuluna kaydolmuş ve ilk hocası Alfred Stevens olmuştur.
