Known affectionately by his moniker Le Romain, this prolific painter carved out a distinguished existence within the heart of Italy, though his roots were firmly planted in Avignon. Born into an extraordinary artistic dynasty that spanned six generations and
produced fourteen painters, Parrocel was destined for the brush. He began his formative journey under the guidance of his brother, Gabriel Imbert, before venturing to Rome around 1717.
