Untitled (Keith Haring, 1986) Oljna slika, ročno naslikana le zate

Identification of the Artwork and Artist

The canvas known as Untitled pulses with the energy of 1986. This work emerges from the creative output of Keith Haring, a New York-based artist who left a profound mark on the urban landscape. His presence in the city defines the era, a time when his visual language began to speak to the streets and the galleries alike.

Keith Haring, born in 1958, lived a life that mirrored the rapid, shifting rhythms of the late twentieth century until his death in 1990. In this specific piece, we encounter his hand at a moment of intense expression. The work exists as a direct connection to his unique way of seeing the world, capturing a sense of movement that feels immediate and alive.

Visual Description and Composition

A single figure occupies the canvas, their presence immediate and striking. The face is a kaleidoscope of color, where red, green, yellow, blue, and black collide in a bold arrangement. These hues define the features, creating a mask-like effect that pulls the viewer into a direct encounter with the subject. The application of color feels purposeful, turning the human form into a site of intense visual energy.

Around the neck, a necklace rests, composed of various colored circles. These shapes repeat in a rhythmic sequence, adding a sense of movement to the stillness of the portrait. The interplay between the circular motifs and the painted face creates a layered complexity. Every stroke on the canvas contributes to this sense of immediate, living expression.
