Diese eiförmige Vase war Teil der Mustersammlung, die repräsentativ für Deutschland auf der Weltausstellung in Paris 1878 ausgestellt wurde. Sie steht auf einem, runden Fuß und besitzt zwei außergewöhnlich geschwungene Henkel. Um die Vase rankt sich zum Teil vergoldeter Efeu, farblich passend zum Fuß und zur Mündung. Sie ist aus Bronze gegossen, die Außenflächen sind dunkel - beinahe schwarz - patiniert.
