The lines are quite rigid and straight specially on the upper part of the shell and on the head. This part can easily be seen as a cubism reference rather than pre-Hispanic sculpture from Altiplano Central area. In consideration to the azteca name, the turtles for them were related to a religious context even being represented in mural painting, codices and at the point been found turtle shells on the Templo Mayor the center of Tenochtilan their capital city.Heriberto Juárez was a visual artist of national and international renown.
