Her great-uncle was Varnava, Serbian Patriarch, a lineage that instilled in her a sense of tradition and spirituality which would later inform the symbolic weight of many of her performances. Her parents, Danica Rosić and Vojin Abramović, both partisans during World War II, shaped her understanding of resilience and sacrifice – qualities she frequently embodies within her work.
