아티스트 Paul Rand 소개
1896–1970, Germany
Paul Rand
Early Life and Artistic Training Born Otto Schellenberger in 1896 in Bonn, Germany, the man who would later be known as Paul Rand began his life far from the Canadian landscapes that would eventually define his visual language. His early years were marked by a move toward formal discipline, spending a year studying at an art school in Frankfurt-am-Main. This period of foundational training provided the technical grounding that would support his later transitions between commercial and fine art. In 1912, he arrived in Canada, carrying only two hundred dollars in his pocket.
