During the 1920s and 1930s, she breathed life into the "magazine" shows of Portuguese vaudeville, creating costumes that were as much works of art as they were garments. Her journey took her to the heart of Paris in 1934, supported by a government scholarship, where her cosmopolitan sensibilities flourished. It was here that she achieved significant acclaim, designing exquisite costumes for the celebrated Portuguese singer and actress Corina Freire, who performed alongside the legendary Maurice Chevalier.
