Shee sposò Mary, la figlia maggiore di James Power di Youghal, nel 1789. Ebbero tre figli che divennero avvocati di successo e tre figlie. Tra i suoi discendenti vi è George Archer-Shee, la cui storia ispirò l'opera teatrale "The Winslow Boy" di Terence Rattigan.
