Born in London in 1948, Maria Chevska has spent her career navigating the delicate boundaries between the tangible and the ephemeral. Her artistic journey began at the Byam Shaw School of Art, where she honed a technical foundation that would later serve as the scaffolding for much more radical explorations. As her practice matured, Chevska moved beyond the traditional confines of the canvas, evolving into an artist who refuses to be tethered to a single medium.
