Biographie de l'artiste

jeunesse et formation

mopuri reddeppa naidu, artiste indien de grande renommée, vit le jour en 1932 dans le district d'East Godavari, en Andhra Pradesh, en Inde. Il a entamé son voyage artistique au Madras College of Arts and Crafts, une institution où il a su affiner ses compétences et jeter les bases de son succès futur.

carrière artistique

L'œuvre la plus emblématique de Naidu réside dans sa série de 18 grandes toiles illustrant le Mahabharata, réalisée entre 1972 et 1974. Ce projet monumental témoigne de sa maîtrise profonde de la mythologie indienne et de son style artistique singulier. En tant que membre du collectif d'artistes Group 1890, Naidu a pris part à l'unique exposition du groupe en 1963 à la Lalit Kala Akademi, au Rabindra Bhavan, à New Delhi.
