After arriving in Lebanon in 1946, she immersed herself in the study of art at ALBA, a period that laid the foundation for a career defined by intellectual curiosity and stylistic courage. Her early explorations into Surrealism and classical drawing eventually collided with the seismic energy of New York City’s Abstract Expressionist movement. Captivated by the raw, gestural power of masters like Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning, Khal returned to her canvas not merely to paint, but to translate the very essence of emotion through the uninhibited language of pigment and form.The Alchemy of Color and Form
