Her formative years were spent honing her skills at the School of Arts and Crafts of Oviedo (2002), where she cultivated a foundational understanding of graphic illustration techniques – a discipline that would prove invaluable in shaping her distinctive style. Subsequently, she pursued higher education at the University of Fine Arts of Barcelona (2009), delving deeper into artistic principles and expanding her creative horizons.

• Early Influences: Blanco’s artistic sensibilities were undoubtedly shaped by the rich cultural landscape of Asturias, known for its folklore traditions and stunning natural beauty. These influences subtly permeate her work, fostering a connection to memory and emotion that characterizes her oeuvre.

Similarly, ‘Luci’ and ‘Cris’ demonstrate her ability to translate complex emotions onto canvas with sensitivity and nuance.

Exploring Emotion Through Texture and Color

Blanco's artistic vision centers on capturing the essence of human experience—the subtle shifts in mood, the poignant recollections of past events. She achieves this goal through masterful manipulation of color palettes and textural surfaces. Her use of impasto technique isn’t merely decorative; it serves as a conduit for conveying psychological depth, mirroring the turbulent currents beneath calm exteriors. The bold hues she employs amplify these emotions, creating canvases that resonate with visceral impact.

• Technique: Blanco meticulously blends illustration skills with traditional oil painting techniques. This dual approach allows her to explore both visual precision and expressive freedom simultaneously.
• Symbolism: Recurring motifs in her paintings often carry symbolic weight, reflecting themes of solitude, introspection, and the enduring power of memory. These symbols invite contemplation and encourage viewers to engage with the artist’s emotional core.
