Born in 1930 in Szolnok, Hungary, Racko’s artistic journey was one of movement and metamorphosis, eventually finding its spiritual and creative anchor in Košice, Slovakia. Racko’s artistic foundation was forged in the prestigious halls of Prague’s Academy of Creative Arts. Under the meticulous guidance of Professor Jan Lauda, he developed a technical mastery that would become his hallmark. This period of intense study allowed him to absorb the rigorous traditions of Czech masters such as Josef Václav Myslbek and Jan Štursa, blending classical precision with a burgeoning interest in modern sensibilities.
