Ije Village

Museo Yemisi Shyllon
Landscape painting depicting a small village in the riverine area of Nigeria. The river is banked to the west by a farmstead with lush trees. The village is located further north of the river with visible large buildings. It appears to be a dry season as the banks of the river look dry with yellow vegetation. Also, central parts of the river body is painted brown, instead of blue, showing visible appearance of mud from the riverbed as the level of water has dropped considerably.
