His connection to the Greek tradition was further solidified through his role as an assistant and model for the legendary Yannis Tsarouchis, a relationship that spanned nine years until 1989.

He views his practice as a form of resistance against the increasingly conceptual nature of contemporary art, choosing instead to focus on the raw reality of the moment.
