The Dining Room on the Garden by Pierre Bonnard is a beautiful representation of a dining room scene with a woman standing by the window. The painting, measuring 135 x 127 cm, is an oil on canvas work that showcases Bonnard's unique style and artistic tenets. At the time of its creation, the modern world seemed to be ignored in favor of a more traditional approach, reminiscent of the late 19th century.

Artistic Influences and Style

Bonnard's work was influenced by the Nabis group, which he belonged to around 1890. This group, also known as the "prophets," tended to paint mystical or occult scenes to invoke extraordinary psychic states. The vibrant colors used in Dining Room on the Garden are similar to those found in the works of Paul Gauguin's circle.
