Painting by Giovanni Morassutti. Artist bio Giovanni Morassutti is a Neo- expressionist visual artist. He combines action painting and collage techniques with dynamic brushstrokes, and found materials including Illustrations, portraits and textiles. Many of his works have also plastic fake eyes installed on the canvas. Main themes are sexuality, obsession, suffering, family, loneliness and death. He is influenced by by the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Julian Schnabel, Jackson Pollock among others. In 2020 Morassutti realized a series of works based on his family of origin as well as a collection of artworks pairing wine with contemporary art featuring his video Ribolla and the work of many other artists.
