The air within this space feels heavy, saturated with a deep, aquatic stillness. A profound blue glow permeates every corner, as if the room itself has been submerged beneath a silent, sunlit ocean. Light filters through a window framed in blue, casting soft reflections across surfaces that are no longer mere walls or floors, but a continuous, jagged landscape of mineral textures. In one corner, a small hole in the wall reveals a glimpse into the structure's bones, while bright lights from the window pierce the gloom, creating a rhythmic dance of light and shadow. The atmosphere is one of profound quietude, where the boundaries between a domestic interior and an alien, geological realm seem to dissolve entirely.
This environment emerges from a process of chemical transformation rather than traditional sculpting. The installation occupies a space defined by deep cerulean tones and the sharp, granular texture of copper sulphate crystals. To achieve this crystalline state, approximately 75,000 litres of copper sulphate solution were pumped into the waterproofed dwelling.
