Maïmouna Patrizia Guerresi (1951) is linked in her first works to conceptual experiences close to Body art, in which photography and sculptural mould are the predominant means to represent a cosmic symbiosis between body, nature and myth. Until the mid-1990s she experimented with different materials such as rock dust (marble, basalt) mixed with resins, a light and resistant dough that allows her to model large shapes with minimal thickness. The discovery of the Ascra places of Muslim Africa projects his work towards new tematic and the introduction of symbolic elements Afro-Oriental. In the sculptural work
