Born in the Gyeonggi Province of South Korea in 1955, Kang Hyung Koo has dedicated his life to a singular, breathtaking mission: to bridge the gap between the canvas and reality. Unlike many of his contemporaries who seek refuge in the abstract or the experimental, Kang finds his truth in the meticulous rendering of the world as it appears—and as it feels.
