In the realm of contemporary street art, few names command as much intrigue and reverence as Banksy. His work, Toxic Mary (double), serves as a hauntingly beautiful testament to his ability to transform the grit of urban spray paint into profound social commentary. This particular piece presents a striking vertical composition, featuring two ethereal figures—women adorned with delicate wings—stacked one above the other. The imagery evokes a sense of fallen…
The artwork titled Napalm girl, also known by the alternative title Can’t Beat That Feeling, is a work by the artist Banksy. Created ca. 2004, this piece utilizes a screenprint technique to present a specific visual arrangement. The composition centers on the figure of Kim Phúc, a nine-year-old girl, who is depicted in a state of distress.
In the dusty, earthen light of Timbuktu, Mali, a scene unfolds that feels both profoundly ordinary and deeply unsettling. A woman stands by a weathered, reddish-brown wall, engaged in the rhythmic, daily labor of washing. A clothesline is stretched across the frame, but the laundry hanging from it is not clothing; instead, long, black stripes are pegged out to dry, swaying slightly in the air. Beside her, a zebra stands,…
The artwork presents a monochrome figure seated against a textured red brick wall. This figure is rendered in black and white, appearing in a slightly hunched posture that suggests a state of vulnerability. A small cup rests on the ground at the figure's feet. The figure holds a rectangular sign with clearly delineated text that reads, "Keep your coins I want change." The background consists of a repetitive pattern of…
The scene unfolds through "Show me the Monet," a 2005 oil-on-canvas painting that disrupts a quiet, watery landscape. The artist, Banksy, moves away from the quick, stenciled marks of the street to work with the heavy, deliberate medium of oil. This specific piece exists as a member of a larger series titled Crude Oil, where the artist explores the intersection of fine art traditions and modern debris. The canvas holds…
In this street art piece titled Mona lisa with bazooka, the artist Banksy offers a subversive reimagining of a high-culture staple. The work functions as a stencil-style reproduction of Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, stripping away the traditional reverence often associated with the figure. Instead of the quiet poise found in the original portrait, this version presents a figure that has been fundamentally altered by the hand of modern street…
A sudden, chaotic storm of white feathers fills the air, swirling around two figures caught in a frantic, rhythmic struggle. This is not a battle of bullets or blades, but a frantic pillow fight that erupts amidst a heavy, white blizzard. The scene is thick with movement, as the soft, downy plumes obscure the background and create a sense of claustrophobic urgency. Two young figures, one a Palestinian and the…
The scene unfolds on a rough, textured white wall, an urban canvas that feels immediate and unpolished. There, the figure of the Mona Lisa appears, but she is no longer the untouchable subject of a museum gallery. Instead, she is a stencil-based intervention, a sudden presence in the street. Her robes, rendered in deep shades of green, are pulled down to reveal her buttocks, a provocative gesture that shatters the…

Njegovo del je hitro dobilo priznanje zaradi svoje satirične in subverzivne narave, saj pogosto združuje črn humor z pretripajočim družbenim komentarjem.
