Zgodnje življenje in težke začetki

Pinazo se je že v zgodnjih letih soočal s težavami, saj je bil prisiljen prispevati k družinski prihodku že od mladosti.
Pred formalno umetniško izobrazbo je delal kot srebrničar, slikar plošč in okrasitelj vetrnic.
Smrt njegove matere zaradi kolere in očetova smrt sta ga prisilila, da se je preselil k babici in babici.

Navdihljena z potovanji je začel slikati družinske teme, aktne postave in prizore iz vsakdana – s čim je napovedal slog umetnikov, kot sta Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida in Francisco Domingo.
Drugi daljši bivanje v Rimu (1876–1881), financirano z stipendijo, je še dodatno izpililo njegov impresionistični pristop.
Razvil je slog, ki ga odlikujejo temne barve – črna, rjava in zemljinske!
Te barve se prepletajo z bleščečo paleto impresionizma, pri čemer je pogosto uporabljal hitre in energične pote。
Glavni dosežki in priznanja
Pinazo je prejemal naročila valencijske aristokracije, vključno s markezino od Benicarló.
Na slikarskih razstavah leta 1881 in 1885 je osvojil srebrne medalje, kasneje pa zlato medaljo leta 1887 in 1899.
Za svoj umetniški prispevek je prejel tudi kraljičino medaljo.
Leta 1912 ga je mesto Valencia častilo tako, da mu je posvetilo ulico.

Osebno življenje in družina
Pinazo se je poročil s Tereso Martinez Montfort, imela sta dva sina, Ignacia in Joseja, katerima sta prav tako postala slikarja.
Zaradi epidemije kolere v Valenci se je leta 1884 začasno preselil v Béteru, kjer je bival v vilah “Maria”, ki jih je imel v lasti bankir Jose Jaumandreu.
Zgodovinski pomen in dediščina
Pinazo velja za enega najpomembnejših valencijskih umetnikov konca 19. stoletja, saj je uspešno povezoval tradicionalne sloge z prihajajočimi impresionističnimi tehnikami.
Njegovo delo nudi dragocen vpogled v španijo družbo in vsakdan med njegovo dobo.
Največja zbirka njegovih slik in risbov se nahaja v Institut Valencià d'Art Modern (IVAM), čeprav niso vedno stalno na razstavi. Njegova dela lahko najdemo tudi v Museu de Belles Arts de València in v muzeju Museo del Prado.
Umrl: v Godelli, Španija, leta 1916 v age 67, in za seboj pustil pomembno umetniško dediščino.
