Inlays of nacre and plane as well as brass fittings adorn this piece of furniture made of maple. Joseph Maria Olbrich was an important figure of both: the Viennese and the Darmstadt Art Nouveau. As a founding member of the Wiener Secession, he designed its building with the golden laurel dome at the Vienna Naschmarkt.
