Youssef Abdelke, born in the Syrian city of Qamishli in 1951, is an artist whose very existence and creative output are inextricably linked to the turbulent currents of history. A Syrian-French master of drawing and printmaking, his oeuvre serves as a profound meditation on war, trauma, and the fragile resilience of the human condition.
