Tempietto
Completed about 1502, the Tempietto is a small, freestanding chapel designed by Donato Bramante. Commissioned by Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella I of Castile, the structure is situated within the cloister of San Pietro in Montorio in Rome, Italy. It functions as a martyrium, built to commemorate the site traditionally regarded as the location of Saint Peter’s crucifixion.
