The Emergence of a Colorist Born in Chicago, United States, Karl Benjamin began his journey into the world of art quite unexpectedly. While serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II, he later moved to California to study English literature, history, and philosophy at the University of Redlands. Though he initially intended to pursue a career in teaching rather than fine arts, his fascination with color began while developing art less
