His journey was marked by a profound personal challenge; born with a physical malformation that left his right arm atrophied and his right leg shorter than the left, he learned to navigate the world and his craft using his left hand. This necessity fostered a re
markable dexterity that would define his career. After studying at the Société Industrielle de Mulhouse, he initially worked as a fabric designer. His artistic potential was recognized by Paul Bonnet, who encouraged him to pursue formal training.
