early life and training christian bernhard rode, a prominent prussian artist, was born in berlin in 1725. his early artistic training began under the guidance of his father, a goldsmith, and later with painter n. müller. rode's formal education took place at the studio of court painter antoine pesne, which significantly contributed to his professional development. artistic influences and travel between 1750-1752, rode studied in paris,
