The Surveyor of the North Born in Trondheim, Norway, Christian Due lived a life defined by the rugged edges of the northern coastline. Before he ever took up the brush to capture the light upon the water, he was a man of maps and measurements. As a marine officer and a surveyor, his eyes were trained to observe the precise geometry of the earth and the shifting boundaries of the sea.
