The Architecture of Motion
Born in 1971 in the historic heart of Lyon, Camille Dubois has emerged as a profound voice in contemporary modern digital abstraction. Her practice is defined by a rigorous exploration of spatial rhythm and the intersection of memory and structure. Drawing deep inspiration from the Julie Mehretu Architectural Abstraction style, Dubois masterfully deconstructs the boundaries between the physical city and the psychological landscape, creating works that pulse with an internal, kinetic energy.
Luminous Layers and Gestural Depth
Dubois' technique is a sophisticated dance of transparency and weight. Through her digital mastery, she orchestrates transparent color washes that float atop dense, gestural ink lines. Each piece functions as a complex map of movement, where overlapping architectural forms suggest the frantic yet beautiful pulse of urban life. Her ability to manipulate light within these layers creates a luminous structure, inviting the viewer to navigate through a labyrinth of subtle depth and atmospheric tension.
