Dierik Bouts bio je ranonizozemski slikar koji je djelovao u Leuvenu od 1457. godine pa sve do svoje smrti 1475. godine. Rođen u Haarlemu, u Nizozemskoj, bio je istaknuti slikar i crtač čija je karijera bila obilježena prestojanjem na počasnom mjestu gradskog slikara Leuvena, tituli koju je stekao 1468. godine.
