A Life Shaped by Stone and Shadow Born in San Gimignano in 1533, Giovanni Antonio Dosio lived a life deeply connected to the physical remnants of the past. His early years were marked by a move to Rome at the age of sixteen, where he began his training within the workshop of Raffaello da Montelupo between 1549 and 1551.
