A Synthesis of Tradition and ComputationBorn in 1967, Laurent Kessler has spent his career navigating the delicate intersection of classical aesthetics and the digital frontier. Based in the historic heart of Lyon, France, Kessler’s practice is defined by a profound exploration of algorithmic visual systems. Rather than relying on static imagery, he develops complex, rule-based structures driven by prompt variation, allowing for an infi
nite dialogue between historical mastery and modern computational logic. His work captures a unique chromatic harmony that feels both ancient and avant-garde.The Architecture of the PromptAt the core of Kessler’s portfolio lies a sophisticated mastery of Generative AI Art. By utilizing model-driven variation, he crafts landscapes of luminous depth where every pixel is governed by intentional computational rules. This method allows him…
