Mural Works and Legacy
One of Ward's most notable achievements was the creation of twelve frescoes in the rotunda of Dublin City Hall. These murals, completed between 1914 and 1918, consist of eight scenes depicting the early history of Dublin and four heraldic panels representing the four provinces of Ireland. In executing these works, he was assisted by students such as Harry Clarke and Seán Keating.
Throughout his professional life, Ward exhibited his work at the Royal Academy of Arts, the Belfast Art Society, and the Royal Hibernian Academy.
