Römer in der Dekadenz (1847) by Thomas Couture

Gier nach Gold (1844) by Thomas Couture

Der junge Trommler (1857) by Thomas Couture

Der verlorene Sohn (1850) by Thomas Couture

10
Timon von Athen (1857) by Thomas Couture

Thomas Couture: life and work

Dezember 1815 in Senlis, Oise, Frankreich geboren.

Bemerkenswerte Werke:
  • Römer in der Dekadenz (1847)
  • Das Duell nach dem Maskenball (1857)
  • Ein Anwalt auf dem Weg zum Gericht (1860er Jahre)
Einflussreiche Schüler:
  • Édouard Manet
  • Henri Fantin-Latour
  • John La Farge
