The Life and Training of Carl Wurzinger Carl Wurzinger was born in Vienna on 1 June 1817. He grew up in a household where his father worked as a caretaker for an estate. This early environment provided the backdrop for a life that would eventually move from the quiet management of land to the structured halls of the Academy of Fine Arts.
