Otto Prutscher designed this blown glass vase colored in red and made of overlaid clear crystal, creating silver colored pellets. In this piece, Prutscher moves away from the characteristic geometrical designs that identify him and choses a more organic form, using a common technique of that time called “bead glass”. Thus an internal bubbly texture is created, prefiguring glass of the 1920s. It was produced in 1908 by the Lötz Witwe factory in Klostermühle in Bohemia (current Czech Republic), which had a great reputation in the beginning of the 20th century.
