Early Life, Family and Training Oľga Bartošíková enters the world on 18 August 1922 in Holíč. She is born into a peasant family, a setting that defines her earliest years in the Záhorie region. This rural upbringing provides the initial landscape of her life before her focus shifts toward the formal discipline of fine arts. The trajectory of her life changes in 1945 when she moves to Prague to begin her professional training. Between 1
945 and 1950, she studies at the Academy of Fine Arts. She works within the studio of Professor Ján Želibský, absorbing the technical rigors of the medium under his guidance.
