Early Life, Family and Training Born in Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou on July 14, 1908, Lída Hynková—who was also known by the names Ludmila Hynková or Lída Hynková Bobková—spent her formative years in Břeclav. It was there, amidst the landscapes of her youth, that she began to cultivate the sensibilities that would later define her vision. She attended both a general school and a gymnasium, receiving a formal education that provided a struc
tured foundation before her creative inclinations began to take precedence over academic pursuits. Her path was not a straight line toward the canvas. Lída Hynková initially sought a different vocation, enrolling in the Law faculty of Charles University.
