Early Life, Training and Family Born in Amsterdam on 3 May 1894, Louise Marie Loeber, known to many as Lou Loeber, grew up in a city that was rapidly changing. Her early years were shaped by the creative energy of the Dutch capital, a place that would eventually host her formal training.
